[Update] Diddy Headed Back To Solitary Confinement After Alleged Cellphone & VIP Prison Treatment Sparks Investigation

Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly being sent back to solitary confinement as federal prison officials investigate allegations that the music mogul was receiving unusually comfortable treatment behind bars.

According to TMZ, officials at FCI Fort Dix are moving Diddy into the Special Housing Unit, commonly known as SHU, following an NBC News report detailing his alleged VIP-style prison experience.

Sources told TMZ the move is standard procedure while officials investigate claims involving contraband, special meals and other possible rule violations.

The NBC report alleged Diddy had access to a contraband cellphone and used it to view n*de photos of an ex. Sources also claimed other inmates cleaned his toilet, made his bed, handled his laundry and prepared meals including curry chicken, pizza and empanadas.

The report further alleged people connected to Diddy deposited thousands of dollars into other inmates’ commissary accounts.

This will not be Diddy’s first time in SHU. He was reportedly placed in solitary confinement in July after getting into a prison fight. Sources previously said his time there included limited movement, little contact with others and extended periods alone.

Federal Bureau of Prisons records currently list Diddy’s release date as January 21, 2028, though the date has changed several times.

Diddy was convicted in 2025 on two counts of transporting people across state lines for pr*stitutions. Prosecutors accused him of organizing “fr*ak-offs” involving girlfriends and male escorts.

A jury acquitted him of the more serious racketeering and s*x tr*fficking charges. He was later sentenced to 50 months in federal prison.
