Finally, Lamar Odom Checks Into Rehab
Finally, 32-year-old NBA baller, Lamar Odom, has reportedly checked into rehab. According to PEOPLE, he’s checked himself into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, two sources confirm to PEOPLE. A source tells the outlet,
He realized he needs help.
This comes on the heals of numerous accounts of prior and current drug abuse. Late last week, the husband of Khloe Kardashian was arrested for DUI. Reportedly, in 2001 he violated NBA drug policies twice and spoke in 2003 of his marijuana use.
I just couldn’t control myself in L.A. … the lifestyle that I was living and the things I had access to.
Odom’s father struggled with heroin addiction. Meanwhile, there have been no statements from the Kardashian clan. This week, Khloe tweeted:
As much as I wish I were made of steel… I’m not…I’m pretty damn close to it though hehe.
Celebs like Wendy Williams have weighed in on Lamar’s struggle with drug addiction, saying:
I met @RealLamarOdom one time, when my husband and I were shopping in LA. He was in the store too. After he left, he called in his credit card to pay for our stuff. I only know his kindness and share his struggle w/substance abuse. My thoughts r with u both Lamar & @KhloeKardashian. xo w
No further information about his rehab stint has yet been released.
