Columbus Short Says Kerry Washington Was Robbed At Emmys: I Wish I Could’ve Pulled A Kanye
Sunday night, “Homeland” actress Claire Danes took home the Emmy Award for lead actress in a drama series. One of the nominees she beat out was “Scandal’s” Kerry Washington, who plays ‘Olivia Pope’ on the popular show. Had she won, Ms. Kerry would have made history, had she won the Emmy for Outstanding Actress in a Drama for her role in the hit show. After her loss, Scandal co-star, Columbus Short wrote:
Robbed. Robbed I tell you. ROBBED. @kerrywashington is without question the MOST OUTSTANDING. Well see you next year Emmys. @scandalabc…See you #Gladiators Oct. 3rd lets show them who we are. #GladiatorsWontBeDenied @ScandalABC love you all…I wish I could of ran on stage and pulled a Kanye. #OkImDoneVenting #EmmyRobbery …
Shonda Rhimes, the show’s creator, responded:
Gonna get some wine and some popcorn and put on my white pajamas and just be fierce all over my living room. #gladiatorsdontcry
While Kerry seemed to put on a happy face:
