Idris Elba Hospitalized In Johannesburg, After Falling Ill On Airplane
Alarming news form fans of actor Idris Elba. Reportedly, over the weekend the 41-year-old actor was rushed to the hospital in Johannesburg. According to reports, he’s currently in a hospital after falling ill on a plane ready to depart for South Africa. The leading man of the upcoming Nelson Mandela biopic had an asthma attack, while he was enroute to a press conference. According to Sky News, Idris had the asthma attack on the plane before it left and was transported to hospital. Although he missed the news conference in Johannesburg, producers hope he will recover in time for a planned red carpet appearance on Sunday.
Most of us were introduced to the London native, as ‘Stringer Bell’ on the HBO series, ‘The Wire’. Fans will see him this month in the Mandela biopic, ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’. There has been no official comment yet from Idris’ camp.
