Porsha Williams Announces Plans to Release EP, Comments On Kordell & Towanda Braxton’s Rumored Romance

Newly divorced Porsha Williams is on the move. In a recent interview with The Grio, the 32-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star revealed that she is working on a new musical project including anthems for women. She also chats about building her very own empire, her feelings about her ex-husband’s (Kordell Stewart) love life and more. Peep the excerpts below.

Being more open this season on RHOA:

When you’ve been through something and you feel like you’ve been through it because you weren’t being true to yourself, it makes you do just that, be true to yourself.I just forgot about the cameras and lived life.

Her current emotional state:

Breakdown was happening back then. I’ve reached the breakthrough. The cameras were there and they captured everything. They filmed me from the time it was filed to until now. It was a life changing experience. It was hard to watch some of the first episodes but as I as I see myself evolve and become stronger and stronger, I can watch it.

The status of the relationship with Kordell: 

We don’t have a relationship at all, which I think is for the best. Everything was abrupt, the divorce was abrupt. I feel like we both should just move on. I’m happy for him, if he’s happy and hopefully he wishes me the same.

If she is jealous of his rumored relationship with Towanda Braxton:

No. I’m happy for him. I like Towanda .I watch the Braxtons and I love Tamar..If it works for him, good.

 

Calling Kordell ‘a queen’ during the season: 

Those rumors were out way before Porsha was even in the picture. At the time I said what I said because that was what I felt. The cameras were there. They were capturing raw emotion and that’s what I gave. At this point, I’m in a totally different space, I’m just so focused on me and what I wanna do, bringing out all of my gifts that I’m really not concerned about his sexuality. How he lives his life..if it makes me happy it’s good.

If she ever questioned his sexuality: 

At the time, whatever I was feeling, whatever I said on the show, that was in that moment. Whatever I said on the show I own it.

Upcoming projects: 

I’m building an empire, a beauty empire. It is all about bringing out your inner beauty. I feel like we don’t need to be our circumstance. We need to be above that and always feel confident no matter what we are going through financially, romantically, whatever. I just want to build women up through beauty inside and out. Hair is just the start. Hair products, makeup, clothing, you’ll see a lot coming from me.

Her budding musical career: 

Kandi recently had a play that I recently took part in and I sang and I danced and now I got the acting bug. I’m in the studio. I’m working on a song that is amazing and it speaks to my past relationship and it’s gonna be released really soon. It will be about 5 songs. I’m not gonna really jump all the way out there because these are coming from my heart. So as they come, I’m not gonna put too much on myself and say 13 [tracks]… a whole album. These songs are definitely an anthem, for all women.
