Actor Arlen Escarpeta to Play Bobby Brown In Whitney Houston Movie
Casting continues for the highly anticipated Lifetime movie about the late Whitney Houston. As previously reported, America’s Next Top Model alumni Yaya DaCosta Alafia will play Whitney.
And today, a new big addition has been confirmed. Angela Bassett (who will make her directorial debut), has officially casted Whitney’s ex-husband, Bobby Brown. Reportedly, actor Arlen Escarpeta has landed the role.
Arlen is a 33-year-old actor who hails from Belize. He is best known for his roles in the films Friday the 13th, Brotherhood, and Final Destination 5. His TV credits include Boston Public, The Shield, Judging Amy, etc. Bassett nor Arlen have confirmed the news.
The made for TV movie will will chronicle the headline-making partnership between the iconic singer, actress, producer and model, and singer, songwriter Bobby Brown – from the time they first met at the very height of their celebrity, to their courtship and tumultuous marriage.
