Comedian Joan Rivers Dies At Age 81
Very sad news. According to the Associated Press, Joan Rivers has passed. Thursday afternoon, Joan’s daughter, Melissa Rivers, confirmed the news. The 81-year-old controversial comedian was hospitalized last week after she went into cardiac arrest at a Manhattan doctor’s office following a routine procedure. Melissa released the following statement:
It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother. She passed peacefully at 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother.
