(INTERVIEW) Angell Conwell Talks Break-Out ‘Baby Boy’ Role, Working in Hollywood & ‘Family Time’
Bringing her sweet southern hospitality to the brutal world of L.A. at a young age, Angell Conwell has grown up in front of the camera. From her break-out role in ‘Baby Boy’ to the leading role of Bounce TV’s ‘Family Time,’ Angell has dealt with rumors and negativity that can come with the glitz and glamour. With a four-year role as Leslie Michealson on ‘The Young and the Restless,’ Angell is always constantly striving for another goal.
In an exclusive interview with theJasmineBrand.com correspondent @SmithWorldWide, Angell opens up about her Hollywood start, thoughts on reality stars who turn to acting for the moment and her biggest fear. Check out a few excerpts of our conversation.
theJasmineBrand.com: When we’re you first bit by the acting bug?
Angell: Well, I was pretty shy as a kid. I’m actually very, very shy, but when I was performing or I would be in my acting classes or something, all of a sudden I would just forget anyone was looking. That’s when I came out of my shell. So at a very young age I knew it was something that I really liked to do. I remember specifically, I was in Atlanta doing a competition and I saw the whole room laughing and having a good time and they were watching my performance. I was like, ‘They like it. People feel good and they enjoy this and I like it too. I think this is what I want to do.’
theJasmineBrand.com: What was one of the first myths about Hollywood that you learned wasn’t true?
