Chris Rock On Next Movie, Kendrick Lamar & The N-Word
Fresh off of his success from ‘Top Five’, Chris Rock talks with Complex about the success and formula of his latest film; plans for his next project and whether or not he’s a fan of Fox’s series, Empire. Peep a few excerpts.
On if he’s accomplished making his own movie brand:
Chris Rock: I think so. I think the movie feels like my standup. As I start to write another movie, it’s like, ‘Okay, this is the tone. I looked at Top Five as the beginning of my movie career.’
On if he plans to put movies out in a faster pace:
Chris Rock: That is my plan. We meet every week now going over this next movie. So yeah, he [Scott Rudin] wants me to work at a faster pace. I can, I guess. I like doing movies. I’m doing another one soon with a lot of the same cast.
On if he plans to have certain actors in future movies:
