“Rob & Chyna” Scores Cable’s Biggest Reality TV Launch of the Year with Young Adults and Women
The new Kardashian spin-off, ‘Rob & Chyna‘ is dominating Sunday nights on social media. Check out the network’s release below.
E!’s new docu-series “Rob & Chyna,” which follows the lives of Rob Kardashian and his fiancĂ©e Blac Chyna, delivered 2.7M Total Viewers, 1.9M Adults 18-49, 1.2M Adults 18-34, 1.4M Women 18-49 and 1.0M Women 18-34 in its series premiere on Sunday, September 11 at 9pm in L3s. The series premiere ranks as cable’s most watched unscripted launch of the year among Adults 18-34, Women 18-34 and Women 18-49, marking the second year in a row that E! has delivered cable’s biggest unscripted series debut (“I Am Cait” in 2015).
“Rob & Chyna” also ranks as one of the top 10 series launches in network history across all demos. “Rob & Chyna” delivered a median age of 31 and won the night with Women 18-34 while ranking #2 among Adults and Women 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The series builds on the extraordinary success of mega-hit “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” currently in its 12th season, and continues to drive E!’s ongoing growth, which includes gains of +5% with Adults 18-49 and +8% with Women 18-49 in third quarter 2016 to date.
Socially, “Rob & Chyna” was the #1 most Tweeted (non-sports) TV series on Sunday, and boosted the Kardashians’ cross-channel social engagement to 2.1M over three days following the premiere.
“Rob & Chyna” goes behind closed doors to witness what happens when new couple Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna embark on building a life together as a newly engaged couple with a baby on the way. The six episode, one-hour docu-series features an unfiltered look inside their private world as they discover one another’s quirks, celebrate new beginnings, suffer some setbacks, and begin to blend their outspoken families. The series will continue to air Sundays at 9pm this fall on E!
