Angela Simmons Feared Disappointing Father
Angela Simmons is opening up about motherhood and her fiance, Sutton Joseph. As you know, for years the reality star has been transparent about abstaining until marriage. So some of the public was shocked when it was discovered that Simmons was expecting.
She admits,
I had a plan. The plan didn’t work out. And you can’t always plan everything. You know, I met the love of my life and we got engaged. And I waited until twenty-eight.
She adds,
I mean I really wanted to wait and it just so happens. It happened within that first little boom.
When asked how her famous father – Rev. Run – reacted to the news that she was pregnant, she says:
He was just calm, you know. He was like ‘My arms are open to you, I’m not gonna be mad’. And I was just scared in that moment. Of course, I’m crying because I felt like I let him down — the last thing I want to do is let down my father and my family. So for me, it just meant a lot to me that he was just [had] open arms and was there for me.
