Obama Watches “Insecure”

We’re not the least bit surprised that President Obama is addicted to HBO’s hit show, Insecure, starring Issa Rae. Recently, Issa and the show’s co-star, Yvonne Orji, visited the White House for their Holiday Party and shared that Obama revealed that he watches the show and loved what women are doing in the creative space.

Both Issa and Yvonne excitedly shared their POTUS moments on Instagram. Check ’em out below.

Lemme explain whuss happening in this picture. (Please note the side of my face straight CHEEZING). This is when #POTUS, after going down the line of gleeful #WHholiday party attendees, suddenly STOPS (like a secret Beyoncé album does to the world!) in front of @issarae and I, and proceeds to HOLD OUR HANDS & tell us that he watches #insecureHBO, loves what women are doing in the creative space, and loves the soundtrack (but can’t quote any of it until after Jan 20 ?). When I tell you, he had the WHOLE group of brown girls soaking in every word. We soaked so hard…we got wrinkles!
