Mahershala Ali 1st Muslim To Win Oscar, Viola Davis & ‘Moonlight’ Snag Awards


Congratulations to a few of our favorites that took home Oscars at the 89th Academy Awards ceremony. The annual event honored the best films of 2016. This year, Mahershala Ali became the first Muslim to win an acting Oscar, snagging the Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Moonlight’.
