Mike Tyson – Boxing Champ Hit w/ $55 Mill Lawsuit
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Mike Tyson is accused of stealing a professional boxers nickname ‘Iron Mike’ causing his career to never take off and now the man has filed a $55 million dollar lawsuit demanding an injunction ordering the famed fighter to cease using the name.
Professional boxer Iron Mike Landrum Sr. filed a $55 million federal lawsuit against former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson accusing him of ripping off his nickname.
On June 30th, Landrum claimed he is the owner of the famous ring name “Iron Mike”, pointing out he runs a business under the same name that was trademarked.
He explains Tyson was told not to use his boxing ring name and accused him of lying to the trademark office when he filed an application for the same ‘Iron Mike’ trademark in which he stated he knew of nobody else using the mark for use in entertainment, boxing promotions & merchandise.
Landrum is suing demanding $55 million plus an injunction ordering Tyson to cease using ‘Iron Mike’ in connection with boxing or his other gigs.
Tyson has yet to respond to the lawsuit. The suit is the 2nd attempt by Landrum to take legal action against the heavyweight champ. He sued Tyson back in 2010, but was unsuccessful in his battle.
