Beyonce’s Hair Stylist Defends Black Women Wearing Weaves

Beyonce’s hair stylist, Neal Farinah, is defending black women’s hair. Farinah, who has styled Beyonce for years, along with members of Destiny’s Child, Solange and other A-listers, recently posted a clip on social media, explaining why some women of color opt to wear extensions. He says,

Sometimes women make choices and black women are not the only one who wear wigs and weaves and pieces. Remember that and underneath wigs and weave black women have some of the most beautiful curly.

He continues,

It’s a choice one makes and that’s the choice a black woman chooses… [there’s] nothing wrong with it, so the myth about black may not having hair, y’all think again because you have something most beautiful texture hair.

So this non-black male is an authority on my hair because he styles Beyonce’s wigs? LOL GTFOH. I don’t need anybody to tell my my hair is beautiful especially not this fool.

Well I’m glad someone OTHER than black women is addressing the issue and doing it in a sensible way. Sometimes it’s nice to

I always wondered why black women get such a hard time about what we do with our hair! It’s astonishing! I love my naturally kinky curly hair and I teach my daughter to do the same, as well as take care of it. But I choose to wear weaves, braids, wigs and whatever else I choose as a matter of convenience. It never had anything to with trying to look like any other ethnicity.

I would like to know where the myth about black women not having any hair came from just because they like to wear weaves & such. That doesn’t even make any sense lots of women from all over wear weaves or whatever. It’s more because it’s conveint then anything.
