Kehlani Defends Kelis’ Claims Nas Abused Her: Why Do People Think She’s Lying?!
Kehlani appears to be defending Kelis’ claims that Nas was physically abusive when the pair were married. Amidst reports of Kelis jaw-dropping claims, Kehlani unleashed a series of Tweets defending women for speaking out about their experience. She also questioned those who felt the need to criticize women by giving them a timeline as to when they’re no longer to share their story. See Kehlani’s tweets below.
As previously reported, Kelis claims that while she and Nas were married he was physically abusive.
She also stated that she remembers how Chris Brown’s 2009 assault against Rihanna affected her.
I remember so clearly when the [Rihanna] pictures came out … ‘cause I [also] had bruises all over my body at that time. I wasn’t ready to walk [away]. I just wasn’t. I’m not weak but I’m really private. I don’t like people knowing my business. I felt like, ‘This is my partner. I chose this. We’re gonna do this, we’re gonna make it work.’
Nas has yet to comment.
