T.I. Wants To Boycott Houston’s Restaurant After Security Physically Assaults Woman
Clifford Harris, better known as Grammy-winning Atlanta rapper T.I., is sounding the alarm for customers to #BoycottHoustons after the police had to be called on three women who were said to have entered the Atlanta restaurant after hours to use the bathroom, then refused to leave.
T.I., who helped spearhead a protest of Houston’s last year after claims the restaurants racially profile patrons and discriminate against African-American diners, has been very vocal.
The latest outrage stems from an incident that took place on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2018. According to reports, an officer/security (named Guzman) physically dragged Marie Lucio out the ladies bathroom, through the restaurant and tossed her in a bush outside of Houston’s.
Three women, Brittany Marie Lucio, Asia’h Sharrell Epperson and Erica Walker were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. Lucio was additionally charged with felony obstruction.
T.I. posted a video to Instagram showing Lucio on the ground, arguing with staff wile the officer struggles to handcuff her. One woman off camera, Asia’h Sharrell Epperson, states she is calling the “real police.” When speaking on the latest drama at the restaurants Peachtree Road location, T.I. said,
So I got a message for Houston’s. For all we went though y’all gon’ allow old Guzman (security guard] to drag this young lady out the bathroom, through the restaurant, pushing her to the bushes and physically assault her. Thats what y’all gonna do? After I push my face on it. Thats what y’all gonna do? Guzman I need see you homes. Come do me like that. Come drag me through the restaurant. Ain’t no talk. We want smoke.

T.I.’s wife, Tiny, rapper Trae tha Truth and former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks all voiced support for his #BoycottHoustons call to action.
Attorney, Gerald Griggs who is representing the ladies said,
We are seriously concerned about the level of force that was used,” Griggs said, referring to the claim that the officer threw the women into the bushes. “We believe they were profiled and subject to police
brutality.
The attorney went on to say that they’re in the early stages of planning a demonstration. Atlanta Police said,
After claims of excessive force were brought to our attention, the Chief directed The Office of Professional Standards to review the officer’s actions.
