Could A Posthumous XXXTentacion Album Be In The Works?
Last month, Florida rapper XXXTentacion was shot and killed and since his untimely passing, his music career has taken off. Following his death, XXXTentacion’s music streams climbed 549%. His single “SAD!” broke Taylor Swift‘s record for most Spotify streams in one day. It then went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
With fans proving that they are still listening. Could more X music be on the way?
Weeks before his death, XXXTentacion signed a $10 million agreement with Empire. Ghazi Shami, the founder of Empire, says the young rapper, who was known to record songs by the dozen, had already finished “a significant amount of material” for his new album, however, there are no details as to when or if they’ll plan to release any of it.
A clause in XXXTentacion’s last contract would mean that the new music under Empire may not be released until October at the earliest, so fans will have to wait a bit.
Are you looking forward to a posthumous release from XXXTentacion?
