Michael B. Jordan Could Be First Black Superman
Michael B. Jordan In Talks To Be Cast As Superman For Film Adaption, First Time For A Black Actor
Michael B. Jordan has had the opportunity to combat against villains and actually be the villain in his fair share of superhero films, but what if he had an S on his chest? According to reports, DC Films and Warner Brothers have been in talks about who their next Superman will be and they have their eyes set on Jordan. If selected, the Creed actor would be considered the first black Superman to be cast into a film. Although developments for another Superman adaptation film are not suspecting to be underway anytime soon, Warners Bros. and DC are keeping their options open.

The hunt for a new Superman comes after Henry Cavill has decided to depart from the role after being told he would not be allowed a cameo on a film called Shazam, due to scheduling conflicts.

Jordan has been on a roll since his breakout role in Fruitvale Station in 2013. Since then, he’s played Johnny Storm in 20th Century reboot of Marvel’s Fantastic Four, and most recently his villainous role as Erik Killmonger in Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, and his protagonist role as Guy Montag in HBO’s Fahrenheit 451.
