EXCLUSIVE: Tiffany Haddish Praises Ex Husband In New Recording, Contradicting Claims in Memoir [AUDIO]

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports about new audio with Tiffany Haddish praising her ex-husband William Stewart, who she claimed physically abused her in her memoir “The Last Black Unicorn”, has surfaced. We broke the story in December 2017 Stewart was prepping a potential libel or defamation lawsuit against the comedian, and how well after their divorce, they allegedly remained friends.

theJasmineBRAND has obtained two audio clips where Haddish is speaking on her ex-husband’s character and work ethic. In one clip, which ironically falls on the day of their wedding anniversary, Tiffany says:

Today is actually my wedding anniversary. I got married five years ago today. Yeah with the guy that I’m wi– well, I’m not with with.

When asked why they’re not together, she replies,

You know he’s a good person. He really is a very good person and he would be perfect for another person, not for me. Um. I’m a comedian, I’m always out. He’s very traditional, [he] wants his wife at home cooking meals; taking care of his kids, and I just have an issue of taking care of somebody else kids.

In the other clip, Haddish is presuming to be speaking about what attracted her to Stewart.

I really felt I could learn something from him. Because he was the police, he found my dad. He’s really resourceful, and I was like, ‘Oh. If I ever needed to find information about somebody, he could teach me how to do that.’ And he did, he did teach me how to do that. And I thought he was rich, but I guess if you live in Georgia, making $60,000-$80,000..you are fu*kin’ rich, but, in L.A., that’s like, minimal. Then he learned that too, and I tried to tell him that before he came out here, but he learned it the hard way.

She then spoke highly of Stewart’s work ethic in the same clip, citing and complimenting how he climbed the job ladder after they moved to Los Angeles.

Now he’s working as a–I just love to watch him grow career wise. He came out here and started working for Sun Anderson, the he went working for Farmer John – he was the safety supervisor over the whole entire plant. Then he went to Nestle with the corporate security stuff. And now he’s at Paramount Pictures, I’m really proud of him, making six figures; doing really good; he’s one of the few black executives; he’s doing very well. I’m very proud of him for that, I admire that about him; how he can just go to the next level, and I would like to be able to do that in my career too, and I have done that. But not necessarily on the scale he’s done it in, and I would like to learn how to do that.

The recordings come at a conflicting time. Haddish accused Stewart of being abusive (later dropping a temporary restraining order), on top of the text messages we exclusively reported about, detailing the friendship each had with each other following their divorce and domestic abuse claims.
