EXCLUSIVE: Omar Epps – Actress Suing Him For Assault & Battery Drops Lawsuit
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Omar Epps is in the clear after the actress who sued him for alleged assault and battery has dropped her lawsuit.
The actress who sued the actor over an incident on the set of the USA show ‘Shooter’ informed the court recently that she is dropping her entire case against Epps. The case will be now closed by the court.
As previously reported, a 59-year-old actress named Donzaleigh Abernathy sued Epps and Paramount Pictures after an incident went down on the set while filming the USA show show.
She claimed during an improvised scene where Epps was going to murder her character, he “threw his left forearm with full force at [her] right arm”, which lead to a broken arm and her being hospitalized
She said along with the broken arm injury he had dropped her during filming on the floor leading to back injuries. The actress had to be sent to the hospital and filming stopped for the day.
Epps said he was not responsible for any damages that happened on set and she played a role in any of her injuries.
