Drake’s Dad Says R. Kelly “Has My Support 100%” And Jussie Smollett Is “Misunderstood”
Drake’s dad, Dennis Graham is as much out on the scene as his famous son. You can frequently see him hanging out in nightclubs, chilling backstage and in videos with his son. So, it’s not surprising that he released a new song of his own earlier this week and to promote it, he gave a pretty revealing interview on some of the hottest topics of the moment—including R. Kelly and Jussie Smollett.
Dennis Graham opened up in a new interview to promote his new single “That On That,” but the conversation quickly turned to Graham being asked about his thoughts on “friend” R. Kelly and the “misunderstood” Jussie Smollett. The elder Graham definitely didn’t hold back on his opinions, which are sure to get people talking.

When asked if he had any thoughts on R. Kelly and his recent arrest, Graham said:
“He’s a good friend of mine. I wish him the best. I hate that it’s happening to him. There’s a reason why women come out after the fact. He has my support 100%.”
Similarly, when asked about the Jussie Smollett scandal, he also had positive things to say:
“Jussie has been misunderstood. As a matter of fact, they know that. That story that came out about Jussie in Chicago is not true about Jussie. Jussie is a friend of mine, also. They have totally reconstructed his story.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Graham talked about possibly collaborating with Tiffany Haddish on music:
“Tiffany is amazing and crazy. She’s a funny person. I saw her in New York not too long ago. We kicked it in a minute and that was it. We were talking about music, she said she was going to start doing music and I said we should do something together.”
He concluded the interview to remind fans that doing music is simply a hobby for him, something he enjoys and doesn’t take too seriously. “That On That” is available on streaming platforms now.
