Oprah Knows She Will Face Backlash For Interviewing Michael Jackson’s Alleged Sexual Abuse Victims
Oprah Winfrey is well aware that her involvement in the new HBO’s “Leaving Neverland” documentary may lead to some backlash. Oprah hosted an after show Q&A for the doc called “After Neverland”.
Days ahead of the HBO premiere, Winfrey spoke to the stars of the docu, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, along with the director Dan Reed in front of an audience of sexual abuse survivors.
During the conversation, Winfrey acknowledged that she and Wade and James will likely face criticism for her involvement. She stated,
“All the fans and the estate. You guys know you’re gonna get it, right? I’m gonna get it. Are you prepared for that?”
Robson claims he was molested MJ from the ages of 7-14 and Safechuck says the late pop star began to sexually abuse him at the age of 10. Both men previously testified on behalf of MJ during a separate child molestation trial.

MJ’s family insists that he is innocent and recently revealed in an interview that he had secretly been investigated by the FBI for 10 years.
After Neverland will premiere simultaneously on HBO and Winfrey’s network OWN Monday (Mar. 4) evening, following the part two airing of the “Leaving Neverland” docu.
