Wendy Williams Show Audience Member Says She Was A Victim Of Racism & Ageism
On the heels of revealing that she is currently living in a sober house due to relapsing from her cocaine addiction, daytime talk show host Wendy Williams is now facing another issue. An audience member is putting the show on blast—and hurling accusation of discrimination.
Wendy Williams has only been back at her self-titled talk show for almost two weeks, but that doesn’t mean that the drama sleeps. According to Page Six, while attending the show, an audience member says she was the alleged victim of racism and ageism.

Back in February 60-year-old Diane Stevens, who is white, says that she and two of her friends arrived early in the morning to see a live taping of the Wendy Williams Show. Stevens then says when an audience coordinator looked at her and her friends, she took their ticket stubs and instead gave them to three, young African-American women.
Stevens explained the situation, saying:
“I was coming from The Bronx, and I had to take a bus and two trains. So because we have canes they let us sit down inside the audience holding [area]. Then the audience coordinator comes on the headset and she looks at us and says into the headset, ‘I am taking the tickets from the older people.’ It was so humiliating.”
In response to Stevens’ accusations, a spokesperson for the show said:
“We have the best audience in daytime and we provide a welcoming, fun environment for all of Wendy’s co-hosts [as Williams refers to her audience].”
At press time, it’s unclear if Stevens or her friends intend to take legal action against the show or Wendy Williams specifically.
