Nipsey Hussle – LAPD Says There Was An Attempted Murder During Rapper’s Vigil
It’s been over a week since slain rapper Nipsey Hussle’s vigil took place honoring his memory, however new details continue to emerge regarding what happened. As you’ll recall, during the vigil there were stampedes, stabbings and other acts of violence. Now, LAPD says that they recently discovered that there was also an attempted murder that took place.
Nipsey Hussle’s alleged murderer Eric Holder is currently in jail after officially being charged with the rapper’s murder, but the LAPD is on the hunt for the attempted murder suspect who reportedly shot two people outside Hussle’s vigil at his Marathon Clothing store.
Of the two people who were shot, one was hit in the elbow, while the other was hit in the lower back and buttocks. The woman who was shot in the buttocks said she heard a “loud, rapid succession of gunshots from an unknown direction,” according to a local police report. This, along with other evidence, has led the LAPD to believe the shooter(s) were attempting to kill.
Authorities also believe the shootings were captured on surveillance video, and have asked a judge to order Hussle’s Marathon Clothing, and other stores inside the strip mall where it’s located, to submit the footage.
The surveillance system is said to have captured “the events leading up to, and after the attempted murder of unknown victim,” an affidavit in the case says. The document also says that employees at all the businesses inside the strip mall have refused to submit the footage to assist in the case.
Meanwhile, Nipsey Hussle’s memorial service is set for Thursday, April 11th at L.A.’s Staples Center, where family, friends and fans can all gather to honor his memory.
