Rihanna Hangs Out With Buju Banton While Attending His Concert
As Rihanna fans continue the long wait for her next album, she may have just given a hint about what to expect from the forthcoming LP—if you consider who she was just pictured with.

While Rihanna fans are grateful for her cosmetics line Fenty Beauty, the majority of them are waiting with for her next album with increasing anticipation. It’s been over three years since Rihanna’s last studio album, 2016’s Anti, and in that time she has crafted a beauty empire, fell in love and continued to live her best life. However, in December 2018 she revealed that her ninth album would definitely be released this year—and perhaps it will feature the legendary reggae artist she was just spotted with, Buju Banton.
On April 27th in Barbados, Rihanna attended Buju Banton’s sold-out show at the Kensington Oval and even took a picture with him as she chilled out in VIP. Reportedly, Banton’s show was so important to RiRi that she flew in specifically for the concert.

Rumors have swirled in the past that Rihanna will feature dancehall and reggae on her new album or do a complete dancehall album. The recent pics of her and Banton are sure to ignite those rumors once again. Back in 2017, Rihanna quietly registered a song called “Phatty” with Banton being credited alongside her. This initially started rumors that they had a collaboration in the works. This was also during the time that Rihanna was said to be in the process of recording a dancehall album.
We’re still in the first half of 2019, so things could change surrounding Rihanna’s upcoming album, which at press time has no title, release date or confirmed collaborations. Whenever she drops her new project, rest assured the Rihanna Navy will be the first to buy it.
