Wendy Williams’ Son Kevin Hunter Jr.’s Assault Case Dismissed
Good news for Wendy Williams’ son Kevin Hunter, Jr. His assault case has been tossed out. Hunter was accused of punching his father and Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter, Sr. in the face during an altercation. He pleaded not guilty last month with his parents present and his father insisted that he didn’t want Kevin, Jr. to be convicted.
Kevin, Sr. was present when prosecutors dismissed the charges earlier this week. Kevin, Jr.’s attorney, Raymond Hamlin, said the two are doing just fine now.
“They are laughing, talking and reminiscing. Their relationship is solid.”
Williams wasn’t there as she’s shooting her daytime talk show.
The incident happened in a Krauszer’s Food Stores parking lot in West Orange, NJ on May 21. It was just weeks after Williams filed for divorce following the birth of Kevin, Sr.’s love child with his alleged mistress of 15 years. Reports swirled that Kevin, Jr. punched his father in the face
“with a closed fist.”

A redacted report also added,
“Kevin [Jr.] then stated that he called [redacted] a ‘b****,’ which caused [redacted] to approach him in an aggressive manner and started pointing [redacted] finger very close to his face. [Kevin] Jr. then admitted to pushing [redacted], which caused them to start wrestling with one another.”
Kevin, Jr. was arrested and refused to get treatment.
It’s safe to say the scuffle took an emotional toll on Williams at one point. She broke down when a reporter asked how her ex and son were doing.
“Please don’t ask about Kevin. We have an 18-year-old son and I’m sensitive to that. But that is not Kevin. Young Kevin and I are fine… Big [Kevin]… Godspeed… You know, stuff happens in life. Stuff happens. And it’s okay. I’ve still got a very full life that I’ve really endured. Please don’t make me cry… Oh my gosh… I didn’t plan on this but it was what it was… I have a very full life. I would ask you to respect our privacy but please I don’t respect people’s privacy… But all three of us are doing fine.”
