Aaliyah To Get Wax Figure At Las Vegas Museum
Late singer Aaliyah will be the newest face at the notable Madame Tussauds Las Vegas wax museum.
The official page for Aaliyah announced the news on Twitter Monday.

The account teased an Aaliyah-inspired project recently.

The museum also announced a #ShowUsYourAaliyah contest.
Fans are encouraged to download the Aaliyah app and post photos and/or videos of them wearing their best Aaliyah-inspired look.
The contest goes through August 11 PST, and the winner will be selected the next day.
10 people will be selected and have the chance to win the VIP figure launch party on August 21.

See more details here. Interestingly enough, a petition was actually launched recently to include Aaliyah in the museum.
It reads,
“Aaliyah is iconic in The RnB industry. Vibe Magazine labeled her as Queen Of Urban Pop and she is also known as The RnB Princess to many. Her legacy still remains strong today since her untimely death back in August 25th, 2001. It only makes sense that she should be in Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum along with the other famous stars. Please sign this petition so that she gets the recognition that she so well deserves and so we the fans can visit her. Thank You.”
