Ray J Recovering From Non-COVID Pneumonia In Miami Hospital, Reveals Doctors Placed Him In Coronavirus Wing: I Thought It Was Over

Ray J is currently in a south Florida hospital dealing with pneumonia.

According to recent reports, Ray J has been hospitalized in Miami for non-COVID pneumonia. The 40-year-old artist’s manager–David Weintraub–spoke on the matter and said Ray J was hospitalized four days ago (Saturday, Oct. 2nd). Additionally, Ray J shared an update on how he’s doing, and it sounds like he’s struggling during his recovery.

According to Ray J, doctors initially assumed he was sick with COVID-19, so he was placed in the designated coronavirus wing of the hospital. This experience frightened Ray J, who revealed:

“I thought it was over. I started praying and knew God is good so I just kept praying.”

Following five negative COVID tests, the “One Wish” singer was moved out of the hospital’s coronavirus wing after two days. However, while he may be in the clear with COVID-19, Ray J is still facing an uphill battle against his pneumonia. He says that he’s currently on oxygen and has difficulty breathing and talking. Additionally, Ray J revealed that–while he feels okay immediately after waking up in the morning–he faces serious difficulties in under a half-hour.

Ray J‘s manager said he hopes the star will be discharged by the end of the week. In the meantime, Ray J is praying for a full recovery so he can return home to his family.

We send positivity and prayers to Ray J as he continues to recover from pneumonia.
