R. Kelly Moved From Solitary Confinement To General Population In Chicago Jail
Singer R. Kelly (real name, Robert Kelly) is no longer trapped in the closet of Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center’s solitary confinement. As he awaits trial for his many sexual abuse indictments, he’s reportedly been moved among the masses in general population. According to reports, he and his legal team had accused the jail of holding him in solitary against his will with little freedom or rights, but the Chicago facility proved this wasn’t the case with receipts of R. Kelly’s recorded phone conversations.

After being written up for refusing cellmates, the self-proclaimed “Pied Piper of R&B” had been recorded saying he was afraid to be moved into general population in July. R. Kelly reportedly said:
“If I go to population…I’m just up on everybody and everybody’s up on me, and I’m trying to figure out how to trust that or whatever.”

He continued:
“You know, and that’s why, I was like, hmmm, too many people up on you and I done seen too many movies, you know, and it’s just, and then I’m so popular here, it’s like yeah man.”
However, his attorney, Steve Greenberg, proclaims the move as a step in the right direction. He offered this statement along with a series of social media updates on the mission to get R. Kelly released:
“We filed a motion with the court, and the jail took the appropriate action and moved him.”

R. Kelly is currently being held without bond on racketeering conspiracy and sexual assault charges.
