Old “The Real” Clip Resurfaces After Jeannie Mai Goes Public With Jeezy: “I keep my dark meat on the side! That’s why I married white!”
The newest it-couple on the scene are rapper Young Jeezy and “The Real” host Jeannie Mai! Since divorcing her husband of ten years – Freddy Harteis – in 2017, Jeannie has made it clear that she doesn’t discriminate when it comes to love.
She was even, briefly, linked to rapper Common.
But after months of speculation and a leaked party photo, the pair recently made their love official!
Young Jeezy made his boo Jeannie his #WCW with the following caption:
“@jeezy She love when I talk dat fly $h*t… #wcw”
But since the couple have gone public, a clip has resurfaced from a [2014r] episode of “The Real,” in which Jeannie Mai made a comment about dating Black men that made social media users uneasy. She said:
“I loved Black guys! I did, I did. But for me, dark meat on the side. White keeps me mean and lean, you know? That’s why I married white. That’s what I like.”
Former co-host Tamar Braxton, visibly irritated, replied:
“Before I get offended, I’m going to just hush.”
Tamar, later, insinuated that Jeannie liked to have a Black men on the side while she kept a White man as her husband. Jeannie cleared her comments up:
“What I’m saying is I really do think Black men are attractive!…when I think about men, I like dark men. I used to date Black men. I think they’re attractive. But when I decided to stick to – because it just kept me happiest – was my man Freddy, who just happens to be White.”
Yikes! Apparently Young Jeezy gave her a change of heart!
Are Jeannie Mai’s previous comments on dating Black men offensive? Let us know in the comments.
