Jay Ellis Is Directing An Episode Of “Insecure”, Reveals When Character Lawrence Will Return
Good news for Team Lawrence!
The countdown for his return to “Insecure” on HBO can begin.
Actor Jay Ellis announced the news on Instagram Monday (Oct. 21)
He posted a snapshot on Instagram and revealed that he won’t only be in front of the camera, but that he’s taking on a director role as well. His comeback is slated for the 7th episode of the highly-anticipated fourth season.

Fans still have a little while to wait before Jay Ellis graces the show again. Season 4 of the Issa Rae hit series isn’t set to return until 2020.
Jay Ellis also teased his comeback with a photo of an “Insecure” director’s chair earlier this month.

He also shared a snapshot with his co-stars in August.

It looks like fans will get their way. They once protested in effort to get Lawrence to come back on the show.
The last time fans show Lawrence was toward the end of season 3.
