Monica Possibly Hints That New Music Will Dish About Her Divorce: “Studio Sh*t Gets Deep!”
Is the age-old myth of great music stemming from a breakup true? Singer Monica‘s next project will be the official test. Fans were shocked when she filed for divorce from her husband of 8 years – former NBA baller, Shannon Brown – as it played out on her reality show, “T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle.”
Monica recently took to her Instagram story with a photo from the recording booth, hinting at new music. She told fans:
“This is where I am every night, @target pjs, throat coat tea, the mic & a lot of deep stories ! #Chapter38ComingSoon”

Will the next album include details about her and Shannon Brown’s divorce? Her next slide hinted that there’s a possibility of it.

Monica and Shannon Brown’s divorce was finalized in October of this year. Aside from her oldest sons, Monica and Shannon share one child: a six-year-old daughter named, Laiyah.
