According to reports, Thompson was given his first technical foul of the game in the first half after Crowder and Thompson were involved in a heated exchange. Crowder was also given a technical foul for their exchange as well.
Thompson was quickly T’d up for a “slap to the backside,” crew chief Kenny Mauer said after the game.

In addition, Kenny Mauer says Crowder wasn’t given his second technical because he did not say or respond in an unsportsmanlike.
”Crowder did not say one word during their incident not did he do anything unsportsmanlike that would have warranted his second technical foul.”
After the game, Crowder told reporters that Thompson’s actions were
“A lot of barking. No bite, obviously.”
