EXCLUSIVE: Tracey Edmonds Prepping TV Show Adaptation of E. Lynn Harris Novel, Lands Major Cable Network

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports new details surrounding Tracey Edmonds’ upcoming project, Invisible Life. The television producer whose notable credits include “Soul Food,” “College Hill,” and “Jumping The Broom” – has more content on the way. Reportedly, for nearly five years, Tracey Edmonds has been in talks to develop a television adaptation of late author, E. Lynn Harris’, novel, Invisible Life.

In 2015, Tracey’s Edmonds Entertainment and Proteus E2 Productions structured a multi-picture deal to develop content based on several novels by E. Lynn Harris with screenwriter Ted Witcher tapped to pen the scripts. One of those stories is “Invisible Life” – the tale of a bisexual law school student that struggles between his love for his longtime girlfriend and his attraction to his male classmate.

But, according to reports, E. Lynn Harris’ mother, later, sued Proteus E2 Productions over the rights to her sons’ stories, ultimately halting production for years. A judge ruled in the production company’s favor, stating that the rights to the stories had been legally granted prior to putting financial deals in place.

Fast forward to the present day and a source tells us that “Invisible Life” is headed to the small screen sooner than audiences think. The source says,

“The network has officially signed on.

They continued:

“…the cable network is one of the biggest brands for a critically acclaimed series.”

Meanwhile, Tracey Edmonds is gearing up for the second season of BET fan favorite, “Games People Play.” The series stars Lauren London and Sarunas J. Jackson.

It is unclear whether Proteus E2 Productions is still on-board with bringing E. Lynn Harris’ stories to life.
