Meek Mill Teams Up With Justin Timberlake On “Believe” [WATCH]
Rapper Meek Mill and Justin Timberlake joined musical forces on Friday (Feb. 7th), sharing an uplifting modern-gospel beat track along with along with a powerful accompanying video.

The music video centers around a mother and daughter who are forced to watch the father of the family be taken away from their home in handcuffs by the local police department.

As the father serves time in jail, the daughter puts her focus in a boxing career. On the track, Meek references his 2017 arrest for violating his five-year probation from a 2008 conviction for drug dealing and gun possession. Potentially damaging his career, he was sentenced to 2-4 years in jail. He raps,
“They tried to swallow me whole, God be my witness / Deprive me outta my dreams but I’m relentless.”

As time passes, the daughter seemingly channels the pain of her missing her father into the ring.

The Philly rapper took to Instagram on Friday to share a short clip of his “Believe,” track with Timberlake where he vowed to his fans that he’s still on more hardcore street music. He writes,
“That ignorant street coming next.”
Back in October, Timberlake touched on working with the Grammy nominated rapper. He says,
“I’m having these experiences that are fueling me in such a different way and, again, I think it was really birthed out of feeling like, what can I do right now to just be a part of my community and integrate.”
The song marks the first return to music for Timberlake after releasing his Man of the Woods album in 2018.
