Donald Trump Sues CNN For Defamation Of Character
Donald Trump is taking legal action. According to reports, he recently filed his third publication lawsuit in the last two weeks. He’s suing news giant CNN for defamation of character.

On Friday, (3/6/20) Donald Trump and company sued CNN over an opinion piece eluding to Trump using information on his Russian counterparts in the 2020 election. In the column, the author argued that Trump’s cabinet should have been arrested in the Robert Mueller report for seeking illegal foreign assistance. One of the quotes read:
“[Trump’s campaign] assessed the potential risks and benefits of again seeking Russia’s help in 2020 and has decided to leave that option on the table.”
Trump’s lawsuit alleges that CNN is “extremely biased” against, referencing that:
“…93% of CNN stories about the president’s first 100 days in office were negative.”
The president’s legal team gave this comment on the CNN lawsuit:
“In fact, the Campaign has repeatedly and openly disclaimed any intention to seek Russian involvement in the 2020 election.”
Donald Trump is also suing the Washington Post and the New York Times.
