Vanessa Bryant Gets Emotional On Late Husband Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Day: Life Truly Isn’t Fair
Vanessa Bryant is still dealing with the loss of her late husband, NBA great Kobe Bryant, as he was honored by Nike on Mamba Day Monday (April 13).
She took to Instagram to share her thoughts with a video of some of Kobe Bryant’s greatest career moments. She wrote,
“My husband worked his a** off for 20 years. Gave it his all. All he wanted was to spend time with our girls and me to make up for lost time. He wanted to be there for every single milestone and special moment in our girls lives. He only got to enjoy 3 years and 9 months of retirement.”
She continued and listed the accolades he received after retiring in 2016. She also saluted their daughter, Gianna Bryant, who tragically died with Kobe Bryant. She was 13-years-old.

Kobe Bryant & daughter Gianna
Vanessa Bryant wrote,
“We had 2 more daughters, he won an Oscar, he opened Granity studios, he became a 5x best selling author and coached Gianna’s basketball team in that time. She worked hard and gave her all 7 days a week just like her daddy.”
She ended by talking about the tragic day they died, Jan. 26.
“I wish I could back to that morning, every day. I wish they had a normal local game on 1/26. Life truly isn’t fair. This is just senseless.”

It was previously reported that Kobe & Gianna Bryant died on Jan. 26 after a tragic and fatal helicopter crash. There were seven other victims on the plane, including pilot Ara Zoboyan.
Vanessa Bryant sued the helicopter company involved in the crash in February, reportedly accusing the pilot of being reckless.
Continued prayers for the Bryant family & everyone impacted by the losses!
