J. Prince & Carl Crawford React To Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” Remix w/ Beyonce Amidst Lawsuit Drama

Megan Thee Stallion, who is currently in the middle of a legal battle with her record label got the green light to release her “Savage” remix with Beyonce. In an Instagram post, J. Prince explains that he put creative differences aside, temporarily, for the sake of charity.

Carl Crawford, the head of Megan Thee Stallion’s label also reposted the message.

All of the proceeds from Beyonce’s “Savage” remix will benefit Bread of Life’s Houston COVID-19 relief efforts. Bey’s BeyGOOD organization recently announced a $6 million donation in partnership with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s #startsmall.

Label head of 1501 Certified Entertainment, J. Prince signed off on the Texas collaboration and it brought Megan Thee Stallion to tears last night on Instagram live. Before dropping the track she tweeted,

In January of last year, Meg expressed her desire to work with her fellow Texan.

“I wanna work with Beyoncé. Obviously, I have to get the OG Hottie—the Houston Hottie—to do a song with me.”

In a live video posted last night, she shared that her late mom was a big fan of Beyonce, making this remix extra special for her

“My momma was like a really huge fan of Beyoncé. She used to make me watch a bunch of Beyoncé stuff,” she said. “Dog, for Beyoncé to even do a song with me?”
