Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms Urges ‘Don’t Let Your Vote Be Suppressed’ After City Suffers Issues At Polls
Many people in Georgia took to the voting polls on Tuesday, June 9th to make sure that their voice was heard for the state’s primary election day. Unfortunately, not everyone had a good voting experience. Atlanta’s mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, took to Twitter to share that some of her residents were dealing with multiple issues, outside of their control, that potentially prevented them from voting. She shared that the machines at the Ralph Bunche precinct, which happens to be one of the largest precincts in Atlanta, were not working at all.

According to Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms’s tweets, the Ralph Bunche precinct wasn’t the only voting location in Georgia that had faulty voting machines.

She also shared that some people were waiting in line to vote for over 8 hours.

In addition to letting the public know about the voting issues that Atlanta was faced with, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms urged the residents of Atlanta not to leave the voting polls before they got the chance to vote.
