The Game On How He’s Finding Peace: We Have To Hold Ourselves Accountable, I’m Willing To Start W/ Myself
Rapper The Game (real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor) shared a video revealing that he has been reflecting on the current state of the world, which he says is filled with
“a lot of hate, a lot of violence, a lot of protest, a lot of looting…and not enough love and care”.
Nationwide, people are currently protesting systematic racism, after the death of George Floyd. George Floyd was an unarmed black man who died after a police officer held his knee on Floyd’s neck for almost 10 minutes. That former officer, Derek Chauvin, is now facing second-degree murder charges, and his fellow officers present at the time of Floyd’s death have been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder.

The 40-year-old rapper said he believes that in order for people to get to the “pursuit of peace” they are currently seeking, they must first take accountability for their actions. The Game acknowledges that he is one of those people, and is willing to hold himself accountable for his past mistakes.
“I’m willing to start with myself holding myself accountable for all my wrongdoings. You know, my indecisive moments that can turn negative and affect other people negatively.”
He added:
“If we all hold ourselves accountable, for our own actions individually, [then] we will find peace sooner than later. As long as there is people that look different from other people meaning different races…. there will always be some type of civil dispute or civil unrest. I think the only way peace to peace, eternally, for everyone, is for us all to hold ourselves individually accountable for our own actions. That’s really the only way.”
Three months ago (March 2), we reported that The Game was pulled over by police in Budapest, but authorities let him go after recognizing him. Underneath the video he shared to his page of the incident, The Game captioned:
Budapest’s police got behind the rari doing 90 on a main street… hopped out on us 6 deep, saw the face & got they mind right…..
The musical artist also made headlines after he got a face tattoo, following the tragic death of NBA Legend Kobe Bryant.
