Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union & Zaya Celebrate Pride Month [PHOTOS]
Zaya Wade, the 13-year-old transgender daughter of former NBA star Dwyane Wade, took to her official Instagram page to share a series of photos celebrating Pride Month with her father and stepmother, actress Gabrielle Union-Wade! In the LGBTQ community, Pride Month is celebrated in June to commemorate the June 1969 Stonewall Riots where members of the LGBTQ community fought against police in a raid carried out June 28, 1969, on lesbian and gay bars in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City.
Zaya Wade announced her transgender status to her famous parents last year and the two have been completely supportive of her every step of the way. Gabrielle Union-Wade and Zaya Wade attended the Miami Beach Pride festival together in April 2019.

Dwyane Wade has said that Zaya knew from an early age that she identified as female and in support, he also acknowledged Zaya‘s decision when he posted a photo of his wife, their daughter Kaavia James, and Zaya and referred to Zaya as a girl with the simple caption:
My Girls

In the photos, the trio is all smiles as they pose and walk toward the camera in colorful medieval clothing. One of the photos shows the Wade family standing in front of a large sign with Zaya‘s name and “#13” on it and Zaya captioned the photo:
