Sly Stone Moves From A Van, To A Warm Bed in Rehab

Sly Stone, The funk legend that made hits like “Family Affair” and “Everyday People” has recently checked into rehab for his cocaine addiction. The music legend, until recently, was living in a white camper van parked on a residential street in Crenshaw, CA. Sly has checked into a rehab facility in Malibu, California. A close friend to Sly commented on him getting help for his addiction to cocaine.
“He wants to get clean, and stay sober. Sly has fallen on very hard times in the past few years. Sly will be in rehab for at least the next 90 days, and he is committed to getting sober.”
He was also in a pickle (yes, “pickle”) earlier this year after being arrested for the possession of cocaine. No charges have been reported, but Sly recently sued his manager for fraud. According to Sly, his manager, Jerry Goldstein, stopped giving him his royalty checks in 2010 and is suing him for $50 million. Jerry filed a counter-suit against Sly for slander. On a more positive note, Sly, wants to return to music soon. Maybe after rehab we will be hearing some new music from the legend. Peep what he had to say about his comeback.
“My music is a format that will encourage you to have a song you won’t forget. That’s why I got so much money, that there are so many people around, and that’s why I am in court. Millions of dollars! But now please tell everybody, please, to give me a job, play my music. I’m tired of all this s***, man.”
