Steven Spielberg’s Daughter Mikaela’s Domestic Violence Charge Dropped: I’m Not Bitter About It, I’m Traumatized
Mikaela Speilberg, the daughter of film director, Steven Spielberg, is speaking out following domestic violence charges against her being dropped, stemming from a reported incident with her fiancé, 51-year-old Chuck Pankow.
Mikaela Speilberg says that she called the police herself after the incident that happened on Feb. 29, fearing for her own safety, and was subsequently arrested around 6:30 a.m. and spent 12 hours behind bars.

After the charges have been dropped, she says,
“I feel that dropping the case was exactly right, which is to start to engage in restorative justice. I just want to feel safe again. I was innocent.”
She continued,
“I’m not bitter about it. I’m traumatized. I feel like the frequency of which I was checked on during that time period was not enough. I feel like my community didn’t reach out enough to ask me what was going on. I’m deeply, deeply concerned, fearful and traumatized now that this is over.”
Mikaela has maintained her innocence, which her fiancé has confirmed, even calling the incident “a misunderstanding.”
Chuck Pankow, a professional dart thrower, also stated,
“No one is hurt.”

In March Mikaela shocked the world after revealing her desire to pursue a career in adult films. She shared in an interview:
“I got really tired of not being able to capitalize on my body and frankly, I got really tired of being told to hate my body. And I also just got tired of working day to day in a way that wasn’t satisfying my soul. I feel like doing this kind of work, I’m able to ‘satisfy’ other people, but that feels good because it’s not in a way that makes me feel violated…I’ve always been a very sexually natured person.”
She also shared that her parents “aren’t embarrassed” of her choice and “actually kind of” expected it to be her career choice.
