Eminem Was Allegedly Told By Home Intruder He Was There To Kill Him

Muti-platinum rapper Eminem (born Marshall Mathers) came face to face with a home intruder in early April but now more details are being revealed about that night.

On April 5. a man identified as Matthew David Hughes reportedly threw a brick and busted the window of the chart-topping rapper’s kitchen.  Reportedly, after “quite some time” on the premises, the intruder entered Eminem’s home.

In a preliminary examination in Macomb County District Court Sep. 9, Officer Adam Hackstock stated,

When Mr. Mathers asked him why he was there, he was told by Mr. Hughes that he was there to kill him.

According to law enforcement, after the intruder broke the window, the security in Eminem’s gated community didn’t hear the alarm go off, but the “Lose Yourself” rapper certainly did.  He apparently thought the intruder was his nephew but soon realized that wasn’t the case.

The rapper then escorted the intruder off of the property where security began to tussle with unwanted guest before officers showed up and arrested him.  He reportedly did not have a weapon on him.

Hughes subsequently turned down the competency evaluation.
