Tory Lanez’s Team Allegedly Sent Emails From Fake Account & Manipulated Text Messages To Media

As more details begin to unfold about the July 12 shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion and alleged shooter Tory Lanez, new reports state that the singer’s team allegedly sent emails from a fake 300 Entertainment (Megan Thee Stallion’s record label) account, to “campaign press” on his behalf, according to a source close to the Lanez and Megan situation.

The source also claims that Tory’s team created fake text conversations between the two and sent them to various media outlets.  A screenshot of an email was sent to Billboard from a different source included a fake email account from 300 Entertainment’s Head of Creative, Kevin Leong, was also allegedly created by Tory’s team.

300 addressed the situation in a statement:

“In this day and age, digital security is of utmost importance. The email impersonation of our Head of Creative Kevin Leong, with the intent to disseminate false information has been brought to our attention and we are working diligently on Megan’s behalf to get to the bottom of the matter.”

A representative for Lanez “strongly denies” the allegations, stating

“The only commentary which has been made on this topic was the creative output on the album. We are investigating who could be sending these false emails and intend to take action against them.”

However, Tory’s team had previously been accused of launching a “smear campaign” against the “Savage” star by sending media false information.

For example, a suspicious email sent on Sept. 14 led the media to a to a YouTube video of a man claiming to be Tory’s ex-bodyguard. In the video, the alleged ex- bodyguard, Zyir Brown , is seen defending Tory Lanez.

“I have never ever seen Tory scream at a female. Even when he got into it with his personal partner. I’ve never seen him get mad or violent. I’ve never seen that part of him.… He’s not the arguing type. I’ve never seen him argue.” Zyir said.

Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro released a statement about the matter. He stated,

“We have been made aware of manipulated text messages and invented email accounts that have been disseminated to the media in a calculated attempt to peddle a false narrative about the events that occurred on July the 12th.”

According to reports from the Los Angeles Sheriff Department, Lanez was arrested at 4:40 a.m. July 12 and charged with possession of a concealed weapon. He was not arrested for the discharge of the firearm. He is currently out on bond after posting a $35,000 bail.
