Singer Tory Lanez has broken his silence about his alleged involvement with the shooting of rap star, Megan Thee Stallion, with his recent controversial album Daystar. The album itself was controversial but the timing of the release garnered it’s own speculation, with people questioning the motive of the timing and accusing the singer of capitalizing off of allegedly shooting a woman.

Not long after the heat of social media began to get hotter, Tory Lanez revealed the reasons behind his release date.
He shared the short but compelling message about his mother on his Instagram page:
9/25 my mothers birthday , the day she passed away , the day the album dropped #daystar

Tory Lanez utilized this surprise album as a way of addressing the July 12 event that reportedly left Megan Thee Stallion shot in both of her feet. In a video that began circulating on social media, Megan can be seen limping backward towards the cops after being pulled over.

After rumors continued floating around amongst fans of the two artists, Megan thee Stallionbroke her silence in a live stream, admitting that she was allegedly shot in each foot by Tory Lanez.

The confirmation from Megan left fans in awe and fueled the criticism of the “Talk To Me” singer even more. Music artists JoJo and Kehlani even removed him from projects they collaborated on together.


To many people’s surprise, Tory Lanez finally made an announcement on Sep 24. that he would be breaking his silence more than a couple of months following the infamous incident.
On a song entitled “Money Over Fallout,” he reportedly addresses and seemingly denies the incident in his lyrics that state,
“Megan people trying to frame me for a shooting.”
He continued,
“Girl, you had the nerve to write that statement on an affidavit? Knowing I ain’t do it but I’m coming at my truest?Trying to keep this sh*t 200 with you, shorty, I can prove it.”
In the track he also appears to question her injuries as he says,
“Gotta see a couple questions: how the f**k you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons??How the f**k your team is trying to pay me in some whole millions??I just lost like 10 million dollars because this cold business?But I got like 10 million followers that’s gon’ roll with me”
