‘Wendy Williams Show’ Goes on Hiatus Until the New Year
“The Wendy Williams Show” announced that the talk show is going on hiatus, seemingly due to the death of host Wendy Williams’ mother. The announcement read,
“Next week, The Wendy Williams Show will air repeats to allow Wendy to travel and be with her family at this time. The show will return with original episodes on Monday, January 4th. Debmar-Mercury extends its deepest condolences to Wendy and her family.”
Earlier this week, Wendy Williams revealed that her mother passed “many weeks ago”.

Her brother, also confirmed their mother’s passing, suggesting that Wendy should take time off of work.
“The Wendy Williams Show” has been renewed through the 2021-2022 season.
