Spinderella Says A Salt-N-Pepa Reunion Isn’t Happening Until They Apologize: The Relationship Is Over

Despite the recent drama between Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella, the DJ said she’s not against a reunion under one condition.

Spinderella (real name Deidra Muriel Roper) said during an interview with Billboard:

“The relationship is over.”

She said of a possible reunion,

“The only way something like that would happen is if we get this business handled and that they offer an apology to me.”

She continued,

“When you have a legacy, you want to make sure that would outweigh this stuff. So I’m not, you know, I’m not closed off to that, but I will be respected. I will be treated fairly… I will never be in a group that does not want to be with me.”

One of the last times they hit the stage together was for the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.

Spinderella took legal action against Salt-N-Pepa (real names Cheryl James and Sandra Denton respectively) in 2019 after she said she was fired via email, alleging they breached a contract. She suggested in her interview that the lawsuit is still ongoing.

She added that the ladies aren’t upholding Salt-N-Pepa’s legacy to “uplift women.”

“How are we going to uplift women if we can’t uplift each other? How does that make me feel, that you make me feel that I’m not needed. … That’s not uplifting.”

Most recently, she called out Salt-N-Pepa for “wrongfully excluding” her from their biopic that debuted on Lifetime last month.
Salt-N-Pepa responded on The Real and said they did reach out to her.

Do you think Salt-N-Pepa owes Spinderella an apology? Comment and let us know.
