Congratulations are in order for American actor Jamie Foxx who recently landed a new deal at MTV Entertainment Group. According to reports, Jamie Foxx and his producing partner Datari Turner will be joining ViacomCBS to develop and executive produce original movies that have a focus on BIPOC (black, indigenous, & people of color) filmmakers.
MTV Entertainment Group EVP and head of talent and content development Trevor Rose recently released a statement about the exciting deal and said,
“Jamie Foxx and Datari Turner are creative forces whose talent is boundless. Together, we share a vision of cultivating emerging BIPOC filmmakers and telling multicultural stories that will make an impact.”
Datari Turner took to his Instagram account and shared the news about his new business endeavor. Jamie Foxx commented on his post and said,
“[3 fire emojis] let’s goooooo my brother congratulations!!! We bout to make major noise!”
This isn’t the only major deal that Jamie Foxx and Datari Turner have secured. The duo also has an overall deal at Sony Pictures Entertainment for feature films. Jamie Foxx seems to have been on a winning streak lately. The Oscar-winning actor recently won an NAACP Image Award for the voice-over performance he did for the movie Soul. Jamie shared his appreciation for his latest award via his Instagram.
